Sweetest Day with Cincinnati Children's Hospital
Contrary to popular belief, Sweetest Day isn’t just about romance, it’s rooted in kindness and generosity. The holiday began in the early 1900s as a day of giving to those in need. It soon became a tradition where people would share small tokens, cards, or treats to brighten the days of those who needed it most. By the 1920s, Sweetest Day was widely recognized as a time to lift up others through thoughtful gestures.
Aglamesis Brothers Ice Cream and Candy is celebrating Sweetest Day with a heartfelt partnership supporting Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Throughout October, guests can enjoy classic Aglamesis treats while giving back to one of the nation’s leading pediatric hospitals.
As part of the promotion, $1 from every Chocolate Heart purchased will be donated to Cincinnati Children’s. Cincinnati Children’s employees will also receive 15% off any in-store or online purchase during the month.
This year’s ambassador, Caleb Robbins, has a story that inspires the entire community. Known as the “mayor of dialysis,” Caleb spent much of his childhood receiving treatment at Cincinnati Children’s while waiting for a kidney transplant. After more than three years on the donor list, a generous living donor from Alabama stepped forward, giving Caleb the gift of life. Today, he is thriving—enjoying school, swimming, and everyday joys he once missed.
To help us celebrate Sweetest Day, Caleb visited the Aglamesis shop to create his very own sundae: Caleb’s Chocolate Attack. For every one of these sundaes sold in October, $1 will be donated to Cincinnati Children’s to support their life-changing mission.
To mark the occasion, Aglamesis Brothers will also wrap its Chocolate Hearts in special foil colors created just for this promotion—a sweet reminder of how each purchase makes a difference.
